The No.1 choice for high performance pig, poultry and game
feeds.
Leading monogastric nutrition company ABN is partnering the 2008 British Pig and Poultry Fair to demonstrate its commitment to the industry and its ability to deliver whole chain solutions as a progressive forward thinking and efficient business.
ABN’s managing director Alan Murphy says "We are delighted to take this leading role with the country’s key technical event. The agreement highlights ABN’s position as an industry leader that can deliver cost effective performance based on extensive R&D programmes."
Despite the current high raw material prices, ABN is very positive about the future for both pig and poultry sectors in the UK, and believes that despite consolidation, opportunities are opening up right across the supply chain.
HELPING THE INDUSTRY
"There
are still opportunities in both the fresh
and chilled markets," says Angela Booth, ABN’s Commercial
Services Director. "We are busy building new relationships with
producers and processors, increasing business-to-business
relationships, and initiating joint ventures within the food
supply chain.
The company is continually developing a wide range of bespoke products for pig and poultry producers, as well as for the game and organic markets. Relying on extensive research programmes, ABN’s commitment is to provide business solutions for its customers, supplying tailor-made nutrition solutions.
"Our R&D is particularly focused on improving animal performance and meat quality, as well as meeting consumer demands," says Angela. "We’re working alongside leading processor and supplier groups, and helping them to work with supply chain partners. Our business solutions are aimed at the complete food supply chain, and at identifying new and profit-led opportunities across the industry."
WHAT WE’RE DOING
ABN’s involvement at the event will include overall sponsorship
of both the Fair and the seminar programmes, will include trade
stands in both the pig and the poultry sections, and feature
considerable on-site branding and promotion.
"We see this as an opportunity to demonstrate our ability to meet the requirements of a wide spectrum of customers," says Mr Murphy. "We are in the business of providing business solutions through strategic support. This partnership will enable us to prove our expertise across the whole food chain."
