Adam Couch was born in 1968 in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and educated at University in Hull gaining a BA (Hons) in Accountancy with Finance. He joined Yorkshire Country Pork as a graduate trainee in 1991 gaining an in depth knowledge of all aspects of the business. The business was subsequently sold to Cranswick plc and he was appointed General Manager in 1996, responsible for the growth of all fresh pork operations and now processing in excess of 20,000 pigs per week.
He is responsible for overseeing large investment in the operation which now employs in excess of 1000 staff, and along with an experienced management team, are dedicated to providing the most efficient production facility in the UK.
Adam was appointed to the Cranswick main board as Managing Director of the fresh pork operations in 2003 and has been heavily involved with the further strategic development of the group.
He is currently embarking on a major investment into replacing the existing abattoir which will improve both throughput and efficiencies.
Adam is a member of the board of BPEX and is proud to demonstrate Cranswick’s faith in the industry by continual investment into efficient modern facilities.
