Chris is 56 years old, married to Kay and has three children Melissa, Thomas and Miranda.
Chris farms 900 acres in Holderness, East Yorkshire on heavy boulder clay, growing continuous feed wheat. He diversified into other sectors of industry and industrial property in the early 90`s, using the skills developed during his early farming years.
He has been at the sharp end of egg production and marketing for over the last 40 years, progressing through the various systems of egg production from Free Range, Deep Litter/Barn, Battery Cages outside to Battery Cage inside. Always innovative, he involved himself in the development of the New Enriched Colony System a number of years ago.
With experience gained, he now has a full understanding of how and why the Colony System is the most welfare friendly method of producing eggs today.
