David Glasson is a Chartered Town Planner with over twenty years experience of town and country planning in both the public and private sectors. Born and raised in West Cornwall, David has held senior planning positions in local government, private planning consultancy and a short period working on national planning guidance for John Prescott. For a number of years, David was senior planning advisor to the National Farmers' Union (NFU) at its then London HQ where he helped secure key changes to planning guidance on farm diversification and rural transport. David continues to advise the NFU as a consultant.
David has recently set up his own planning and development practice in Bristol where he advises a variety of private, corporate and public sector clients throughout England and Wales. David provides planning consultancy on a wide range of rural and urban development proposals including planning applications, appeals and enforcement. During his career he has developed a specialist knowledge of rural planning including agricultural developments, farm diversification, Green Belts and the re-use of farm buildings. David is married with two young daughters.
