Jon Duffy is the Trading Director of Frontier Agriculture Ltd and as such is responsible for the procurement, trading, risk management and logistics of over 4.5 million tonnes of grain a year.
Frontier Agriculture is a unique, industry-leading company in the UK and is dedicated to linking arable farmers directly with end users, through a seamless, fully integrated service.
Frontier is owned by its parent companies, ABF Holdings and Cargill PLC, two of the most financially secure businesses in the marketplace. Sister companies of both parents include AB Agri, Allied Mills, Allied Bakeries, Cargill Grain & Oilseeds, Sun Valley Foods and British Sugar.
Jon graduated from Seale-Hayne in 1989 and joined Sidney Banks as a graduate trainee. Having spent some time dealing with farmers in the Hertfordshire area, he moved onto the trade desk, trading malting barley and wheat.
In 1996, Jon was appointed as Managing Director of the Lincolnshire based merchant, Gleadell Agriculture, until his appointment with Frontier Agriculture in 2005.
He is currently the chair of the Arable Marketing Committee of the AIC (where he is also a board member).
Jon is 43 years old, married to Miriam, and together have three young children.
