Minster Veterinary Practice
Following graduation from Cambridge Vet School (1992), I spent four years in mixed practice in the Cotswolds. From there I moved to the Minster Veterinary Practice, York again as a general practitioner. Over the following two years I migrated into working 100% within the poultry department. Our caseload includes breeders and commercial birds in the duck, turkey and broiler sectors. We also care for pullets in rear and laying hens. During the summer months we are kept extra busy with gamebirds to care for.
In 2000 I set up the Hereford Office of the department and also became a partner at The Minster Veterinary Practice. The practice became a clinical associate of the Nottingham Vet School in 2006 at a time when the practice’s Sutton Bonington poultry office was being established. I am NFU Poultry Health Chairman and Vice Chairman of the East Midlands Poultry Discussion Group. At every opportunity I go snowboarding.
