After graduating from Harper Adams with a degree in Agricultural Engineering, Nigel went to work on farms including three years in Saudi Arabia where he progressed to become Farm Manager responsible for all aspects of the operation including a contracting and produce sales.
He completed an MSc in Soil and Water Engineering from Cranfield University on his return to the UK. After a spell with a drainage and utility contracting company, he joined ADAS as a Mechanisation Consultant. His primary areas of work included farm waste management systems, environmental protection, odours and land restoration. Nigel joined MLC in 2004 specialising in environmental issues affecting the UK pig industry and production technology.
He represents BPEX as a stakeholder representative in a number of areas including nitrates and diffuse water pollution, IPPC, farm waste and water resources.
