Sue joined PIC in 1997 as Technical Sales Manager, a national role responsible for running the PIC UK genetic programme, managing the Pigtales/Easicare recording schemes and providing technical support to customers and sales staff. She took on her current role as General Manager in 2003 responsible for all production, sales and technical activities within PIC UK, including direct involvement with integrated customers operating dedicated supply chains.
Sue worked as a Pig Consultant with ADAS in East Anglia, the South East, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, providing Consultancy to all sectors of the pig industry including business appraisals, pig management, housing, breeding and nutrition. She operated as National Pig Specialist managing the team of regional Consultants and the R&D station at Terrington, Kings Lynn.
At the Animal Breeding Research Organisation (ABRO) now IAPGR, Sue was a Research Pig Technician involved in breed comparisons, sireline development and trials to identify the role of the halothane gene.
Sue has a BSc Hons in Agriculture from Reading University, specialising in Animal Production.
