Ian Lowery, Veterinarian, Crowshall Veterinary Services
Ian Lowery qualified from the Royal Veterinary College from where he went into dairy practice, initially in rural Derbyshire and then working with larger dairy units in Kent and Sussex. In 2009 Ian moved back home to Norfolk and joined Crowshall Veterinary Services a poultry veterinary practice and laboratory where he became a partner in 2014. Ian has a strong interest in epidemiology, flock health planning and evidence-based population medicine. Ian works closely across the layer sector with a particular focus on layer breeders and commercial laying flocks. His practical experience in commercial laying flocks and deep understanding of laboratory testing particularly in relation to Salmonella testing. Ian is actively engaged in research projects which investigate the effects of water quality and water sanitising on flock health, welfare and productivity.
